Secret Prize

The way I hear things, people actually read the stuff I post on the blog, so I'm going to give you guys some treats, and before I make them known in the reports.

First off, a lot of people PM'd me when I released the robes thing. They wanted uniforms, like the Imperial Navy officers wore. And so I made it... and then they were added in. The other thing was armour, for those of us who like to get down and dirty in the front lines. And for a while, I pushed it off, as Armour was going to be one of the possession things that would come in under one or another aspect of rebirth.

Well, I decided better on it.

Yeah, It's later this week. Yes, I'm going. Yes, I got those wickedly awesome robes made, and a saber more or less battered into shape. Hell, I even have a cool looking jedi belt rig put together. and yes, pictures will be posted some time next week, when I get back from atlanta. So yeah, that means a quasi-LOA is to be had from this thursday to some point next week. I'll have my laptop with me, and it has a cool WiFi thing for the hotel, but I can't see myself doing much DB stuff when I'll be so busy geeking it up in real life.

Also, as a special bonus, the first person to email me the name of Muz's Jedi Master (which can be found in a few of the run-ons on the DJB forum site) will be eligible for custom robes. Call it a secret prize for reading this.

7 months and counting

Well, I thought it was time for an accounting. Tommorrow will mark the end of my seventh month as Herald of the Brotherhood.

So, I'll break it down into the things Muz has done:

Warbanners: ~160
Yeah, I've done a hell of a lot of warbanners. somewhere in the neighborhood of 160+ (not counting revisions, though...those are hard to track). Now, to be completely honest, Shin's probably matched that number by now, as he's pretty much taken over the warbanner project for me.

Lightsabers: 639
Yes, you read that number correctly. Almost all of the custom sabers uploaded these days are from my own desk. I've seen a few people do their own, a few people send me sketches (that i make for them), and there's a prize few sub-contractors, like Raven of Naga Sadow. But the Lightsaber Construction Tool is made up entirely of my sabers. And then, there's a crap-load of customs.

Robes: 192
Robes? Oh yes, robes. This was something I really wanted to do, my pet project, as it were. I got rid of the old robes (which Chi made, way back in the day) and put up a nifty tool for people to go and pick out something that suited their character, based on rank, order, style...all that. In addition, at the DC level, you can get custom robes, of which I've done a bunch, and have more in queue.

Website
First thing I did after Shin set me up a nice sparkly new website was to complete a warbanner guide. Then I went and put up a Custom Lightsaber Gallery, and a Robes Gallery, to help people see what's available and what can be done. There's also a small character bio with cool clone war gfx of Muz and Shin up there.

Other Projects:
I was going to go and redo some of the older medal images, but I managed to 'contract' those out to ex-HRLD Cyris Oscura, and he delivered some awesome stuff. Also, worked with Jac to get a new Site Layout working.





Plans:
• History of the Herald - a fictional and historical look at the Heralds of the Brotherhood and their accomplishments.

• Fleet/Systems Manuals - well organized and structured resource for the clans to use to show their home star systems and fleets to best coordinate their own defense and offense capabilities.

• Hand to Hand Combat Guide - the big black book of beating ass. The companion guide to the lightsaber combat guide is already under way, and will probably be released in the next few months.

• Expansions - I plan to add more lightsabers to the selector, and the robes selector will continue to grow throughout my term as Herald.

• Personal Possessions - To dovetail with the possessions system that will eventually come about.
